What You Are Stepping Into
This training is a guided, experiential certification process designed to support both your personal writing development and your preparation to lead Abre Tu Boca circles in your own communities.
Participants move through the Method from the inside out — deepening their own writing while learning how to responsibly and confidently hold space for others.
Your training includes:
• Direct instruction in the Abre Tu Boca Method, including inner voice activation, lens-based writing and perception practices, and the facilitation structures that support writing circles, group listening, and collective reflection
• Five live Zoom training sessions (Sundays, 2.5 hours each) held once per week over five weeks
• One 45-minute one-on-one session with Amanda Aileen Fisher focused on your personal writing and creative development
• Facilitation of two Abre Tu Boca circles as part of certification — serving as your supported launch into holding circles within your own community
• Two additional Facilitator Transmission Sessions (approximately 45 minutes each) held during the training period. These sessions focus on facilitation leadership, language calibration, container stewardship, and certification preparation. These sessions were added to strengthen facilitator preparation and reflect the evolving depth of the Method Training. Session times will be scheduled collaboratively based on facilitator availability.
Scheduling & Flexibility
The training is designed to provide structure while allowing flexibility around individual schedules.
The five live Zoom sessions are the primary anchor of the training experience and are expected to be prioritized on participant calendars. These sessions are where Method instruction, demonstration, and group integration take place. Facilitator Track participants are encouraged to attend all sessions live whenever possible, as leadership modeling and facilitation practice build progressively throughout the training.
If a session must be missed, support is provided through:
• Session recordings shared for review and integration
• Occasional make-up attendance options in alternate session times when available
Your two certification circles and your one-on-one session with Amanda can be scheduled with flexibility. Circles are typically scheduled near or after the completion of the five training weeks, allowing you time to prepare and invite participants from your community.
Certification & Launch Support
Certification is granted after completion of training and two observed facilitation circles.
These circles are designed not only as an evaluation component but as a supported entry point into offering Abre Tu Boca circles within your own professional or community spaces. Participants leave the training with real facilitation experience and active community engagement already underway.
Stewardship & Ongoing Facilitator Support
Abre Tu Boca facilitators are part of a living, evolving body of work that continues beyond certification.
Facilitators who choose to actively offer Abre Tu Boca programming maintain facilitator affiliation ($20 USD/month). Active affiliation provides:
• Authorization to offer official Abre Tu Boca writing circles
• Access to updated scripts, prompts, and Method materials
• Listing in the Abre Tu Boca Facilitator Directory on the Abre Tu Boca website
• Participation in the facilitator community network
• Optional monthly facilitator support calls with Amanda Aileen Fisher
• Access to Method updates and continued professional development support
Facilitators may pause affiliation at any time when not actively offering programming.
Facilitators may integrate the Method into existing creative, educational, or professional environments while maintaining Abre Tu Boca Method structure and attribution.
Enrollment & Payment Terms
This deposit secures your placement in the training cohort.
If an unexpected and significant scheduling conflict arises prior to the start of training, deposits and tuition may be transferred once to a future cohort within the same calendar year. Deposits and tuition are otherwise non-refundable once the cohort begins.
Final tuition payment details will be provided following deposit confirmation.
By completing this deposit, you are confirming your participation in the Abre Tu Boca Method Training and stepping into certification preparation as an Abre Tu Boca facilitator.
